LYNNWOOD — A woman robbed a Washington Federal bank, escaped and abandoned her getaway car Friday in Lynnwood, according to police.

The woman, who wore oversized sunglasses, passed a note demanding cash to a teller around 1:55 p.m. at the bank in the 5800 block of 196th Street SW. She looked to be about 5-foot-2, with facial acne, according to Lynnwood police.

The woman fled with cash in a white 1990s Honda Accord. Police found the suspected getaway car abandoned about a half-mile away in the 19300 block of 60th Avenue W, police said. The woman was gone.

Two days earlier, a woman in oversized sunglasses passed a note to a teller at a Washington Federal bank around 10:20 a.m. in Marysville. The note implied she had a gun, Marysville police said. She fled with cash in a gold Honda Accord, which was abandoned 2 miles north at a Winco. She was still at large Friday.

Police had not confirmed whether the two robberies were linked.
