Lynnwood girls golf, Terrace baseball win academic titles

The Lynnwood girls golf and Mountlake Terrace baseball teams were announced as academic state champions last week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
Lynnwood claimed the Class 3A girls golf academic state title with a combined 3.86 grade-point average among its six team members.
Mountlake Terrace won the 2A baseball academic state title with a combined 3.61 GPA among its 15 team members. The Hawks (19-8) beat Port Angeles and Highline in the 2A state regionals Saturday to earn the program’s first-ever state semifinal berth.
