Miranda Granger has graduated to the East Coast.
Granger, fresh off her first professional mixed martial arts championship, is headed to Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Dec. 14 where she will square off against Jamie Colleen as part of Cage Fury Fighting Championships 71 at the Borgata Hotel Casino.
Granger, a 26-year-old Snohomish native and Glacier Peak High School graduate who fights out of Charlie’s Combat Club in Everett, is one of the rising names in women’s MMA. She’s 4-0 since turning professional in September of 2017, most recently defeating Amy Montenegro for the Dominate FC women’s strawweight (115 pound) championship last month in Tacoma.
December’s bout, which is part of a card headlined by a bout between Joseph Lowry and Cesar Balmaceda for the CFFC men’s lightweight (155 pound) championship, is Granger’s first outside Washington State.
Colleen, a 32-year-old who fights out of Renzo Gracie Philly in Philadelphia, is a former King of the Cage women’s strawweight champion who has a 4-2 professional record.
Tapology.com has Granger as the 10th-ranked female fighter pound for pound in the United States. Colleen is ranked 37th.
