Man stabbed to death at Monroe apartment identified

MONROE — A man who was stabbed to death in a Monroe apartment was identified Thursday.
Evodio Garcia Martinez, 56, was found dead by his roommates after they returned from a casino, according to police.
The roommates were confronted by another man in the apartment, holding up two knives and covered in blood.
Two other roommates were stabbed in a prolonged scuffle.
The suspect, 28, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder, second-degree assault and burglary. He was still in custody Thursday, with bail set at $1 million.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office classified the death as homicide. The man died from multiple sharp force wounds to the neck.
