Recommending some poetry for Trump

About that border wall: Maybe I’ve missed it, but nowhere in the interminable wall-talk have I heard any estimates for post-construction inspection and maintenance costs. What do you suppose that annual tab would run?

This whole wall folly has triggered an old memory. When I was in high school — Class of ‘62 — the curriculum included quite a bit of poetry. I’ve always remembered one particularly haunting poem that I think gets to the heart of our current situation. You-Know-Who must’ve missed it.

Were I Twitter-literate, I’d tell POTUS to “Google Shelley’s ‘Ozymandias.’ It’s all about you. Read it slowly. And often. You’re welcome!”

But I’m a social-media dunce (aka hold-out), therefore “no can Tweet.” Should some nice “Ozymandias” fan(s) out there care to take this on, that’d be groovy.
