Blake Conyers, Lakewood boys basketball
Conyers, a sophomore, hit some clutch shots in the second half to help the Cougars clinch a Class 2A Hardwood Classic berth with a 53-49 win over Franklin Pierce. Conyers finished with a team-high 13 points.
Luke Dobler, Marysville Pilchuck
Dobler, a senior, poured in a team-high 27 points in the Tomahawks 81-71 overtime loss to Kamiakin.
Arlington girls basketball defense
The No. 3 seed Eagles allowed just seven first-half points in their 56-32 rout of sixth-seeded Lake Washington. Arlington held the Kangaroos 21.7 points below their season average of 53.7 per contest.
