Marilyn and Abby couldn’t be more different — and they’re forced to share a room at a retirement home. The adversaries try to out-prank each other in a wager over who will move out and who gets the bed by the window. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students, seniors, military.

Edmonds Driftwood Players: Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds; www.edmondsdriftwoodplayers.org or 425-774-9600. See “The Addams Family,” a musical based on Charles Addams’ macabre family, April 12-May 5. It’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday has fallen in love with a “normal” man and wants Gomez to keep it a secret from wife Morticia. Tickets are $28 general, $25 youth, senior, military.

“The Mikado”: New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players present the comic opera in two acts 7:30 p.m. April 13 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Though the opera is set in Japan, it is a satire of 19th century British politics and institutions. Tickets are $39-$69. More at www.edmondscenterforthearts.org.

Red Curtain: The Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school); 360-322-7402; redcurtainfoundation.org.“Lost in Yonkers” will be staged April 19 to May 5. A man deposits his two young sons on his mother’s doorstep in 1942 Yonkers, New York. After losing his wife, he is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with their grandma, plus an aunt and uncle who live with her. Shows are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $18 general and $15 students, seniors and military, $10 for children 12 and younger.

YOUTH THEATER

Ludus Performing Arts: Snohomish County PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett; 425-239-6627; www.ludusperformingarts.org. Giraffes strut. Birds swoop. Gazelles leap. As the music soars, Pride Rock emerges from the mist. Disney’s “Lion King” returns to the youth theater through March 23. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10-$13.

Village Kidstage: Cope Gillette Theatre, 2730 Wetmore Ave., Everett; 425-257-8600 or villagetheatre.org/everett/kidstage-everett.php. Come on a fantasy ride to a world of pure imagination as Roald Dahl’s world-famous candy man embarks on his quest to find an heir. “Willy Wonka Jr.,” staging April 5-21, features songs from the classic film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” — including “The Candy Man” and “Pure Imagination.” Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $17 for adults or $14 for youth and seniors.

DANCE

Olympic Ballet Theatre: The Edmonds-based ballet company will perform New Works at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. The show is at 7 p.m. March 30 and will feature a variety of styles that showcases the ballet company’s versatility and expands its repertoire. Tickets are $27-40. More at www.olympicballet.org. COMEDY

A Night of Improv: Exit 192 Improv will perform improvisational comedy 8 p.m. March 22 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Tony V’s Garage: Comedy Garage is a weekly comedy showcase and open mic at the garage, 1716 Hewitt Ave., Everett.
