Goncalves scores twice, Silvertips top Spokane

SPOKANE — Gage Goncalves scored two goal in the first period and the Everett Silvertips survived a furious late rally to beat the Spokane Chiefs 4-3 on Friday night at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
Jackson Berezowski’s goal at 3:18 in the third period gave the Silvertips a 4-1 lead, but Adam Beckman scored a power-play goal at 18:12 and Eli Zummack scored just 29 seconds later to pull the Chiefs within one before Everett held on.
Dustin Wolf stopped 34 of 37 shots for the Silvertips (12-4-0-0) and Conrad Mitchell added a goal in the second period.
Arnold Campbell stopped 22 of 26 shots for the Chiefs (7-7-2-0).
