ARLINGTON — An Arlington man died Sunday afternoon after a car crash on Arlington Heights Road.

The man, 50, was driving on the road before 2 p.m. when reportedly he lost control and crashed into a pasture off the roadway, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said. He was not wearing a seat belt, and died at the scene. Detectives with the Collision Investigation Unit believe alcohol was a contributing factor.

The road was closed for several hours during the investigation.

Identification of the man and his cause and manner of death would be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
