Silvertips cough up late lead, fall to Winterhawks in OT

PORTLAND, Ore. — Jaydon Dureau tied the game with under a minute to play in regulation and Reece Newkirk scored in overtime as the Portland Winterhawks rallied late for a 3-2 win over the Everett Silvertips on Friday.
The Winterhawks (21-6-1-2, 45 points) improved to 3-0 against the Silvertips this season and took over sole possession of first place in the U.S. Division standings.
Justyn Gurney and Bryce Kindopp each scored for Everett (21-6-2-0, 44 points).
