Silvertips rally, lose to Chiefs in overtime

SPOKANE — Gage Goncalves forced overtime with a goal late in the third period, but Eli Zummack scored in the extra frame and the Spokane Chiefs beat the Everett Silvertips 3-2 on Wednesday night at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Jalen Price scored a goal in the second period as the Silvertips saw their three-game win streak come to an end, but picked up a point on the road.

Ty Smith and Adam Beckman provided the other goals for the Chiefs (24-15-4-1).

Dustin Wolf stopped 26 of 29 shots for the Silvertips (29-11-3-1).
