Prep stars of the night for Saturday, Feb. 8:

Jacob Vincent, Lake Stevens boys wrestling

Vincent, a senior ranked second in the state in Class 4A at 220 pounds by Washington Wrestling Report, pinned Cascade’s Sam Kolesar, ranked eighth, at the 4:55 mark to earn first place at 220 pounds at the 4A District 1 Sub-Regional Tournament at Monroe High School. Vincent was one of seven champions on the Vikings’ first-place squad.

Amanda Lee, Shorecrest girls basketball

Lee, a senior guard, poured in a game-high 23 points in the Scots’ 58-47 win over hosting Everett.

Bashaun Williams, Darrington boys basketball

Williams, a senior post, netted a game-high 27 points in the Loggers’ 69-27 victory over visiting Summit Olympus. Williams’ scored as many points as Darrington’s opponent by himself.

Austin Davis, Marysville Pilchuck boys wrestling

Davis, a senior, beat Stanwood freshman Keaton Mayernik 9-8 in the championship bout at 120 pounds at the 3A North sub-regional tournament Saturday in Snohomish. It was a little payback for Davis, who was pinned by Mayernik when the two matched up during a league dual between the Tomahawks and Spartans on Jan. 30.

Kiley Hubby, Lake Stevens girl wrestling

Hubby, a senior ranked third in the state at 170 pounds by Washington Wrestling Report, picked up a 4-0 decision over Ferndale’s Alex Brulotte, ranked fourth, to win the 170-pound weight class at District 1 North Sub-Regional Tournament at Squalicum High School.

Sophia Averill, Everett girls wrestling

Averill, a sophomore, pinned teammate Sumina Gurung at the 2:09 mark to win the 100-pound weight class at the District 1/4 Sub-Regional at Chief Sealth High School.
