Join the Arlington Library to learn about hojalata, a bright and beautiful form of Mexican tin art, at 2 p.m. March 14 at 135 N. Washington Ave.
Help make a group art piece to display at the library.

Fruit tree tips
Washington State University master gardeners will share tips on how to grow fruit trees, such as apples, pears and plums, at 6 p.m. March 31, at the Arlington Library, 135 N. Washington Ave.

Don’t forget to turn clocks forward one hour Sunday.
Sunrise and sunset will be about one hour later next weekend, giving more light in the evening.
Pop-up Farmers Market
The second of three pop-up Everett Farmers Markets is taking place Sunday at Wetmore Plaza 2710 Wetmore Ave. in Everett. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The market will take place outside on the plaza and in the alley, regardless of weather, with about 30 vendors.

Free Museum Thursday at Flying Heritage
Enjoy free admission at the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum on the first Thursday of every month through April.
Hours are 2 to 5 p.m. at 3407 109th St. SW in Everett.

Genealogy help
The Sno-Isle Genealogical Society is offering free help Tuesday and on March 17 for those trying to learn more about their German or Scandinavian ancestry, at its research library, 19827 Poplar Way, Heritage Park, Lynnwood.
Lee Langsted, who has experience in these areas, will be available for one-on-one, 45-minute appointments on those dates.
Call 425-775-6267 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday to reserve a spot.
Opening on Edmonds commission
The city of Edmonds is seeking applicants for a seat on the Economic Development Commission.
Commission members discuss strategies to generate economic development and make policy recommendations to the mayor and City Council. Applicants must live in Edmonds.
“Promoting economic activity in Edmonds enhances our quality of life and creates jobs,” Mayor Mike Nelson said in a news release.
The volunteer position will be vacated April 1. The term ends in 2022.
