China’s communist party should be held responsible for virus

Recently The Washington Post and Epoch Times published articles that suggested using “CCP virus” to describe the coronavirus.
It’s the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mishandling of the coronavirus outbreak that caused the global pandemic. It’s the CCP that turned its propaganda machine in full gear to portray itself as the world’s savior and blames the U.S. military for bringing the virus to China. It’s the CCP that has threatened to halt shipments of critical pharmaceuticals to the U.S. in this pandemic crisis. The name “CCP virus,” clearly separates the Chinese people who are also victims of the CCP’s censorship and brutality.
Naming the virus after its enabler helps the world see more clearly what a thuggish regime the CCP is. The world should be warned by now: nations close to the CCP are often suffering the most, such as what has been seen in the raging infections in the CCP’s close ally Iran, and in Italy, the only G-7 nation to sign on to the Belt and Road Initiative.
On the contrary, Taiwan and Hong Kong, which are highly skeptical of the CCP, have had relatively few infections.
This notable pattern is worthy of reflection. As another Washington Post article suggested, it is now time to practice social — and economic — distancing from the CCP.
