I’ll take long hair over getting Covid-19

Marine (“once a Marine, always a Marine”) barber Bob Martin in Snohomish isn’t going to put up with this “crap” and is going to violate the shut-down order. If he cut 150 heads over just a few days at $20, plus tips, equals $3,000 plus per week, it is obvious why.

But, as a Skagit Valley choir found, that close one-time contact, can amount to a super-spreader of Covid-19.

I also served when the Army called in the late ’60s, to protect democracy, majority rule, etc. I think that I earned the right to walk the street breathing germ-free air. I don’t think I will be visiting Snohomish anytime soon with Mr. Martin’s flagrant disregard for his neighbors’ health. If my local barber decides to open before guidelines are met, I will be looking for a new barber, no matter how shaggy I get. I also hope the gentleman from Camano Island that went to Mr. Martin continues to go to Snohomish for haircuts, and not risk spreading Covid-19 in Stanwood.
