Anacortes woman identified in death at Arlington park

ARLINGTON — A woman found dead under suspicious circumstances in Arlington has been identified as Amanda D. Smith, of Anacortes.

Her body was found near a bench around 6:50 a.m. Monday in Country Charm Park, near the 600 block of North Alcazar Avenue. Smith was 43.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office released her identity Tuesday. The cause and manner of death were still pending further investigation.

Arlington police are handling the case.
