Fire district: Marysville building torched on purpose

MARYSVILLE — A BNSF building off First Street caught fire Monday morning in an apparent arson attempt, according to the Marysville Fire District.

The rail company’s structure was aflame around 10 a.m. and firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly. It appeared to be intentional, the fire district said in a Tweet.

There were no injuries.

The Marysville Police Department and Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office were investigating.
