Officers responded around 3 a.m. to the 11800 block of Airport Road for a report that a man in his 40s had been shot in the head. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he underwent surgery.
Meanwhile officers “quickly located the male suspect in a nearby business” with the help of a police dog, according to a press release sent out Thursday afternoon by the Everett Police Department.
The suspected shooter, 45, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
The suspect has a long history felony offenses: first-degree assault in 1996; third-degree assault in 1998; custodial assault in 2001; violating a no-contact order in 2010; first-degree theft in 2012; and drug possession in 2014 and 2016, both times for methamphetamine.
