Silvertips down Thunderbirds to snap losing skid

EVERETT — Niko Huuhtanen scored twice and Braden Holt made 49 saves as the Everett Silvertips snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Beau Courtney and Jacob Wright also scored as the Silvertips jumped out to a 4-0 lead and rolled to the win.
Austin Roest, Jonny Lambos and Vince Lamanna each had two assists for Everett (20-6-2-1).
Eric Van Impe scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds.
Thomas Milic stopped 25 of 29 shots in goal for Seattle (18-7-3-0).
