BOYS BASKETBALL

Northwest Conference

Lakewood 65, Meridian 45

ARLINGTON — Blake Conyers and Andrew Molloy each scored 16 points and Lakewood recorded 25 steals as a team in a Northwest Conference victory over Meridian.

Conyers and Justice Taylor combined for 16 steals. Taylor added 11 points and 10 different Cougars (10-4, 7-1 league) scored.

Dane Beck paced Meridian (5-11, 2-10) with 12 points.

Emerald Sound Conference

Coho Division

Bush 53, Granite Falls 52

GRANITE FALLS — Granite Falls missed a chance at a game-winning shot in the final seconds and fell in a tightly contested Emerald Sound Conference Coho Division battle with Bush.

Gavin Toland netted 16 points, Hayden Goldsmith added nine and three different Tigers (3-10, 2-8 league) added seven points.

Amara Fields scored a game-high 17 points to pace Bush (8-8, 6-6).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Wesco 4A

Glacier Peak 43, Jackson 25

SNOHOMISH — Kylani Rookstal and Sammi Thoma each had nine points, Glacier Peak held Jackson to just nine points in the first half and the Grizzlies pulled away for a Wesco 4A win.

Brynna Pukis added eight points and the Grizzlies (5-10, 2-3 league) snapped a four-game losing streak.

Emma Merwin had eight points and Hannah Mack seven to lead the Timberwolves (4-10, 1-6).

Wesco 3A/2A

Stanwood 62, Cedarcrest 38

DUVALL — Cezanne Depew poured in a game-high 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and Stanwood cruised to a Wesco 3A/2A victory over Cedarcrest.

Vivienne Berrett and Chloe Santeford each added nine points as eight different Spartans (9-3, 6-1 league) scored. Stanwood has now won four straight.

Kat Townley netted 20 points and Madelyn Davidson chipped in 12 for the Red Wolves (6-9, 1-7).

Coho Division

Sultan 69, Summit Sierra 13

SULTAN — Grace Trichler made her 100th career 3-pointer and scored a game-high 18 points as Sultan clinched the Emerald Sound Coho Division title with a rout of Summit Sierra.

Trichler connected on four 3-pointers, Faith Anderson added 10 points and nine different Turks (14-2, 10-0 league)) scored.

Summit Sierra fell to 0-7 overall and 0-7 in league play.
