Lynden 57, Lakewood 41

MOUNT VERNON — Blake Conyers and Justice Taylor combined for 37 points but fourth-seeded Lakewood didn’t get much else as they fell to top-seeded Lynden in a winner-to-state 2A District 1 Tournament semifinal clash.

Conyers netted a game-high 21 points and Taylor added 16 for Cougars (12-6).

Dawson Adams paced the Lions (18-2) with 18 points and Anthony Canales chipped in 14.

Lakewood will face sixth-seeded Archbishop Murphy in a loser-out consolation bracket semifinal matchup at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lynden High School.

Lynden clinched a state berth with the win and will face second-seeded Sehome in the district championship game at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Mount Vernon High School.

Archbishop Murphy 69, Cedarcrest 59

EVERETT — Sixth-seeded Archbishop Murphy knocked off seventh-seeded Cedarcrest in a Class 2A District 1 Tournament elimination game.

The Wildcats (7-12) move on to face fourth-seeded Lakewood in a loser-out consolation bracket semifinal matchup at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lynden High School.

The Red Wolves finished their season with an 8-12 record.
