BOYS BASKETBALL

4A DISTRICT 1/2 TOURNAMENT

Consolation semifinals (winner to state, non-elimination)

Mariner 74, Skyline 54

KIRKLAND — Dakota Joseph led for Mariner players in double figures with 15 points and the second-seeded Marauders beat No. 4 Skyline in a 4A District 1/2 Tournament consolation semfinal on Thursday to clinch a state berth.

Tijan Saine and Makai Bloomfield scored 14 points each and Mohamad Camara added 10 for Mariner (15-8), which advanced to the tournament’s third/fourth-place game and will face a Wesco 4A foe in No. 10 Jackson on Saturday.

Skyline (13-6) dropped into the fifth/sixth winner-to-state game against No. 5 Glacier Peak on Saturday.

Jackson 65, Glacier Peak 55

KIRKLAND — Drilon Veliu and Harris Kampe scored 17 points each and tenth-seeded Jackson beat Wesco 4A foe and No. 5-seed Glacier Peak in a 4A District 1/2 Tournament consolation semifinal on Thursday to clinch a state berth.

Sylas Williams scored 13 points and Henry Armstrong added seven for Jackson, which advanced to the tournament’s third/fourth-place game and will face a Wesco 4A foe in No. 2 Mariner on Saturday.

Bobby Siebers scored a game-high 21 points and Torey Watkins added 11 for Glacier Peak, which dropped into the fifth/sixth winner-to-state game against No. 4 Skyline on Saturday.

1B DISTRICT 1/2/3 TOURNAMENT

Consolation bracket (winner to state, loser out)

Neah Bay 77, Grace Academy 67

TACOMA — Eighth-seeded Grace Academy fell to No. 5 Neah Bay in a 1B District 1/2/3 Tournament consolation loser-out game on Thursday.

Grace Academy ended its season with a 11-7 overall record.

Eastlake 58, Glacier Peak 35

KIRKLAND — Eighth-seeded Glacier Peak fell to No. 3 Eastlake in a 4A District 1/2 Tournament consolation semifinal on Thursday.

Glacier Peak (9-13) dropped into the fifth/sixth-place game and will face No. 6 Inglemoor in a winner-to-state, loser-out contest on Saturday.

Eastlake (20-3) clinched a state berth and advanced to face No. 4 Issaquah in a third/fourth-place game on Saturday.

2A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Sultan 44, Cedar Park Christian 41

BOTHELL — Grace Trichler scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, as seventh-seeded Sultan held off a late charge from No. 5 Cedar Park Christian to win the 1A District 2 Tournament loser-out consolation final on Thursday.

Ranah Rylah scored 10 points for Sultan (18-3), which advanced to a winner-to-state, loser-out Disctrict 1/2 crossover game against Lynden Christian on Saturday.

Cedar Park Christian finished its season with a 10-10 overall record.

1B DISTRICT 1/2/3 TOURNAMENT

Semifinals (Both to state)

Mount Vernon Christian 73, Grace Academy 32

MOUNT VERNON — Fifth-seeded Grace Academy fell to No. 1 Mount Vernon Christian in a 1B District 1/2/3 Tournament semifinal game on Thursday.

Grace Academy, which has already clinched a state berth, dropped into the third/fourth-place game against Evergreen Lutheran on Saturday.
