Edmonds ‘streateries’ fees unfair to local business

I love shopping and dining in Edmonds and have always wanted to live there, until now. It’s shocking to see restaurants that are hanging on by their nails charged an exorbitant fee by greedy council members who took advantage of the whining of a few people who are too lazy to walk a few extra steps from their cars (“Edmonds council cuts ‘streateries’ permit fee in half,” The Herald, jan. 5).
The restaurants are an asset to the entire downtown area and are being abused during a terrible time for them.
