Don’t believe the lies told about U.S. energy production

I fully understand the Founders’ intention when writing the 1st Amendment to the Constitution on freedom of speech. Sadly they probably never realized there would be TV stations like Fox News or talk show hosts like Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson in this world.
It is sickening to watch these two, along with the same three or four guests they have on each night perpetuate lies and discontent. Jim Jordan, the super-conservative from Ohio and some nut job that wares a hat with his name on it so he can remember his name are normal guests on the nightly lie-off contest they have.
Here are a couple of their nightly lies: That the U.S. could be energy independent if it were not for the Biden administration. Really? There are over 9,000 signed drilling leases on American soil approved, but the big oil companies don’t want to do that. Second, we were only energy independent one year under Trump. In case you forgot he is the one who stood by and watched his group of thugs break down the doors of the Capitol while his vice president was inside.
And after we became energy independent the American oil companies quit drilling because they couldn’t make enough money. So in Trump’s last year in office we again were not energy independent. And by the way, Chevron is now saying they will profit $100 billion more in 2022 than it did in 2021. So Hannity, Carlson, Jordan and the rest of the Fox nut jobs do your homework. We are being ripped off by our fellow Americans who control big oil.
