Change in trails at Lord Hill Park best for all users

A change by Snohomish County to not allow “bike only” trails in Lord Hill Park, many of which are high-speed downhill, and return the park to its’ original low-speed design, is welcome. This change will allow many equestrians, hikers and families with children and dogs to return to using the park, with the risk of negative encounters with high-speed bikes greatly reduced.

I would like to thank the government entities that drove this change, as it illustrates a willingness to listen to public input on this issue, and respond to that input in a positive manner. This has been a long time coming, and will hopefully enable a reduction in tensions between users at the park, returning it to the low impact, peaceful and natural environment previously enjoyed by visitors.
