Abortion doesn’t have to be listed in Constitution to be a right

I am writing this in response to a recent letter to the editor that compared reproductive choice to his right to carry a gun. No, abortion is not in the Constitution. I would imagine the writers of the Constitution didn’t even know that as long as women have conceived, there have been abortions, and until Roe v. Wade, those procedures were dangerous and often deadly. But they still happened.

Whether the choice to terminate is in the Constitution or not, it nonetheless remains. Seventy percent of folks in this country understand that and choose to prevent Roe v. Wade from being reversed. I’d say “if you don’t want/need an abortion, don’t get one.” Let’s end it there.
