Local author to discuss debut novel
Harriet Cannon will be discussing her debut novel, “Exiled South” at Edmonds Bookshop with Edmonds author Sarah Cannon, who is her daughter.
The event is set for 6 p.m. June 16 at the bookstore, 111 5th Ave. S., during Art Walk Edmonds. It also will be live-streamed on the bookstore’s Facebook page from 6-7 p.m. Both authors will be available to sign books from 7-8 p.m.
“Exiled South” is a novel about family identity and second chances, taking place on a dual timeline, both in the Civil War era and contemporary time.
Everett native to read from new book at library
Everett-born and -raised author Toni Mirosevich will be reading from her new book, “Spell Heaven,” at the Everett Public Library on June 18.
The event is set for 4-5:30 p.m. in the library auditorium.
Mirosevich, whose Croatian-American family was active in commercial fishing in Everett, is the author of “Pink Harvest,” an award-winning book of nonfiction stories, and five books of poetry. She is a professor emeritus of creative writing at San Francisco State University.
Snohomish writer publishes children’s book
Snohomish author Patti Kosnik has published “Gramma Lamma Ding Dong,” a new book for kids.
In it, a grandma takes her grandkids on a fun trip while imparting important lessons to help them grow.
