What’s cartoonist Rik Dalvit’s beef with Gov. Inslee?

While I’m no fan of Gov. Jay Inslee, I am a fan of clever political cartoons.

The political cartoons in your opinions section fill that need for me; for the most part.

The exception is cartoons by Rik Dalvit. His panels lack the clever humor I seek and seem only to lampoon Inslee. It’s as if he has a personal vendetta against the man. Did Inslee kick his dog? Steal his girlfriend?

Regardless, The Herald has given him a platform for which his craft is unworthy. I’m surprised that his panels are included in an otherwise amusing section of your newspaper.

Perhaps you might reassess what constitutes clever political humor.
