Stories on Tulalip boarding school, sovereignty important

Many thanks to Herald reporter Isabella Breda for her recent well-researched and well-written series of stories about the boarding school at Tulalip and related topics (“Special Report: Tulalip’s Stolen Children,” The Herald).

Knowing our horrific history makes us better prepared for the future.

Also, thanks to Breda for her recent story about the U.S. Supreme Court’s misguided decision that undermines tribal sovereignty (“Tulalips say US Supreme Court ruling undermines tribal sovereignty,” The Herald, July 1).
