After court’s EPA ruling, carbon fee dividend needed now

If you feel like the U.S. Supreme Court has just waged war on the air we breathe and the water we drink, you’re correct. Thanks to their recent decision to enfeeble the EPA, current policies will not reduce our emissions by 50 percent by 2030. If we allow the fossil fuel companies and the legislators who obey them to guide climate legislation, we will sail right past 2030 without coming close to our goals.

However, we have a chance to solve runaway pollution. The Democrats’ reconciliation bill could still pass soon. There is a carbon fee and dividend being considered for reconciliation. This policy is immune to legal delays and powerful enough to meet the goals laid out in the Paris climate treaty. Call your senators today!
