Salvatore’s double lifts AquaSox past Canadians

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Mike Salvatore hit a go-ahead double in the top of the ninth inning and the Everett AquaSox topped the Vancouver Canadians 3-2 on Wednesday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Noelvi Marte tied the game at 2 with a two-run double in the third. Salvatore and Marte each finished with two hits for the AquaSox (45-46).

Leo Jiminez hit a sac fly and Miguel Hiraldo an RBI single for the Canadians (46-42).

Four Everett relivers combined for six shutout innings. Tim Elliott (1-2) struck out two in the eighth to pick up the win and Isaiah Campbell shut the door in the ninth for his 10th save.

Will McAffer (3-3) took the loss after allowing one run on three hits in two innings. He struck out four.
