LAKE STEVENS — The first of three weekend closures is set for next month for roundabout construction in the area of highways 9 and 204 in Lake Stevens.

Crews from Washington State Department of Transportation’s contractor, Interwest Construction, Inc., are tentatively set to build the roundabout at North Davies Road and Vernon Road in October. The specific times and dates will be announced as they get scheduled.

Other closures are planned in spring for the roundabout on Highway 9 at North Davies Road and Vernon Road, then at the intersection of highways 9 and 204.

The fourth roundabout at 91st Avenue NE and Vernon Road won’t need a weekend closure.

Detours will be marked, and only one intersection will be closed at a time.
