Veterinary care difficult to find

I am new to this country, recently having moved here from Greece. There are nearly no veterinary services of experienced vets available. If you have a sick animal there is no opportunity for treatment. I have a cat I imported from Greece with serious problems. I took him to the vet who could not diagnose him and sent him home with antibiotics in powder, bitter tasting and impossible to administer. The cat has absolutely no infections or anything else antibiotics can treat. He has a liver problem, never even tested for. I cannot get him in to see any other vet.

So now the cat has very yellow skin and is vomiting very orange fluid. He has so much toxin in him he is slowly dying. I want to have him put down. All animal people in this entire vicinity refuse, telling me I have to wait for an appointment weeks away. Weeks away? My cat is dying now!

I am a civilized person and love that cat to death. What else can I do? What is wrong with this this community that so disregards compassion for animals? It is hell to live here. I intend to move out of this area to a place I find civilized. The ability to have pets receive medical attention in this area is nonexistent.
