10th LD, Pos. 1: Shavers will serve his constituents

Honor, courage and commitment are qualities we seek in our elected representatives, whether they are a state legislator, governor or president. They are also the core values of the US Navy, in which Clyde Shavers served our nation for almost 12 years, including his time as a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy.

When you meet Clyde and hear why he’s running for office, it’s clear that honor, courage and commitment are also his core values. He is a public servant, not a politician, who understands that party does not come first; constituents do, without regard to their political affiliation. His commitment is to our community and its people; to reduce crime with policies that work better for all of us, not defunding the police; to provide tax relief to low- and middle-income families; to lower the cost of health care and prescription drugs; and to protect women’s freedom to choose and keep the state out of private health care decisions.

Clyde grew up in Washington, served our nation honorably and courageously as a naval officer, and is committed to serving our community with integrity, bipartisanship and full-time dedication. As fellow veterans with over 60 years of combined service to our nation, we support Clyde Shavers and look forward to voting for him.
