Other nations have it tougher than the U.S.

Is the economy the biggest factor for people in this country in deciding who they will vote for in the midterm elections?

We are not isolated economically from massive global effects of covid. Important to recognize shut-down factories in places like China, supply chain problems, shortage of goods, and disruption of such things as continuing lack of staffing in hospitals that are stressed beyond being able to function properly. But don’t stop there.

Look at the havoc of climate change now, not only in the future, with raging forest fires, droughts and floods, agricultural crops destroyed, hurricanes and tornados all causing damages that have to be paid for. Then add onto that the war in Ukraine and the Putin-OPEC war on energy all over the world, including here in the U.S.

Things I know from having close friends in other countries: inflation here is much lower than other first-world countries. Gas prices here, lower than most other countries. People in Europe this winter will be freezing with no help in sight. So when you place your vote, just be glad you live in a country that is by far better able to take care of you than any other country in the world and look at actual platforms of the candidates.

Not exactly wise to just play the power game. Be smart. Be thankful for the food on your table, the roof over your head, warmth through the coming winter and preserving the country you live in.
