BOYS BASKETBALL

Wesco 4A

Jackson 77, Lake Stevens 54

MILL CREEK — Sylas Williams scored a team-high 19 points and Harris Kampe added 18 as Jackson bounced back from a loss with a league win over Lake Stevens.

Mason Johanson scored sevens points for a balanced Jackson (9-3, 2-2 Wesco 4A) offense which had 10 different scorers in the game

Tyson Eyman scored a team-high 13 points and Maddox Preder added 11 for Lake Stevens (8-4, 2-1).

Mariner 72, Glacier Peak 50

EVERETT — Makai Bloomfield scored 22 points and Mariner pulled away in the second half to earn a league win over Glacier Peak.

Jailin Johnson scored 15 points and Stavontai McSwain chipped in nine for Mariner (8-6, 2-1 Wesco 4A), which outscored the Grizzlies 45-29 down the stretch.

Cooper Jensen scored a team-high 15 points, Trey Leckner added eight, and Paxton Bigby and Jo Lee chipped in seven each for Glacier Peak (6-5, 1-2).

Wesco 3A/2A

Shorewood 49, Edmonds-Woodway 46

EDMONDS — Nathaniel Daniel scored 21 points and added six rebounds as Shorewood edged Edmonds-Woodway in a hard-fought league game.

Jaden Marlow added 11 points and six rebounds, and Jake Messer chipped in seven points for Shorewood (7-7, 3-5 Wesco 3A/2A).

Steven Warren scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, Drew Warner added nine points and Makan Apio chipped in seven points for Edmonds-Woodway (5-7, 3-5).

Everett 69, Shorecrest 59

SHORELINE — Danny Savovic paced Everett with 24 points and the Seagulls toppled Shorecrest in a matchup of league contenders.

Isaiah White had 15 points and five rebounds, and Hayden Conaxis added 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks for Everett (8-5, 6-2 Wesco 3A/2A).

Parker Bauman scored a game-high 27 points and Keaine Silimon chipped in 12 points for Shorecrest (8-4, 6-2).

Arlington 69, Cascade 44

ARLINGTON — David Zachman scored a game-high 20 points and 11 different players scored for Arlington in a league win over Cascade.

Ty Rusko and Leyton Martin had 11 points each, and Jackson Trotter chipped in seven for Arlington (11-2, 8-1 Wesco 3A/2A).

Devin Gilbert scored a team-high 18 points and Kolton Monteith chipped in seven for Cascade (5-8, 2-7).

Mountlake Terrace 57, Monroe 54

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Zaveon Jones and Jaxon Dubiel scored 19 points apiece and the Hawks outlasted the previously unbeaten Bearcats for a key league victory.

Chris Meegan added 12 points for Mountlake Terrace (9-4, 7-1 Wesco 3A/2A).

Steven Kuhnle Jr. netted a game-high 21 points, Ethan Hogan added 13 and Hayden Creswell chipped in 12 for Monroe (12-1, 8-1).

Non-league

Kamiak 78, North Creek, 70

BOTHELL — Josiah Pierre poured in 42 points to power Kamiak to a close non-league win over North Creek.

Alex Lundquist scored 11 points and Geoffrey Keleb chipped in 10 for Kamiak (6-8).

North Creek fell to 6-9 overall on the season.

Meadowdale 68, Bellingham 49

BELLINGHAM — Jaymon Wright scored a team-high 21 points to help lead Meadowdale to a non-league win over Bellingham.

Devon Waldrop-Leathers scored 11 points, and Malik Robinson and Noah Million added nine each for Meadowdale (6-8).

Bellingham fell to 5-9 overall on the season.

Emerald Sound Conference

Sultan 66, South Whidbey 62

SULTAN — Toby Trichler poured in 27 points and Eli Trichler added 18 to power Sultan to a tight league win over South Whidbey.

Westin Galle chipped in 12 points for Sutlan (9-1, 6-1 Emerald Sound), which has rebounded with two straight wins after suffering its first loss of the season.

Elijah Dixon scored a team-high 25 points for South Whidbey (4-7, 1-5).

Glacier Peak 67, Mariner 34

EVERETT — Kylani Rookstool led a balanced effort with 15 points and the Grizzlies used a big second quarter to pull away from the Marauders in a Wesco 4A tilt.

Sammie Thoma scored 13 points, Brynna Pukis and Jessie Emmons added nine and Zoey Ritter chipped in eight for Glacier Peak (9-2, 3-0 Wesco 4A), which led 38-14 at the half.

Kyairra Roussin scored 11 points and Keliah Brown had seven to pace Mariner (4-8, 0-3).

Wesco 3A/2A

Stanwood 59, Snohomish 41

SNOHOMISH — The Stanwood High School girls basketball was looking to back on track.

The Spartans, ranked sixth in Class 3A, entered Friday night’s Wesco 3A/2A clash with an always-tough Snohomish squad just three nights removed from scoring a season-low 39 points against Everett and suffering their first league loss of the season.

Stanwood regained its offensive groove and delivered a strong defensive effort to boot against the Panthers.

Vivienne Berrett poured in 28 points, the Spartans allowed just two points in the second quarter and Stanwood (10-2, 7-1 Wesco 3A/2A) closed with a strong fourth on its way to a 59-41 victory over Snohomish (8-5, 5-3).

Shorewood 54, Edmonds-Woodway 50

SHORELINE — Joy Brandenstein led a balanced Shorewood offense with 10 points and the Stormrays held off Edmonds-Woodway for a close league win.

Kate Evans and Addi Tull added seven points each for Shorewood (6-6, 4-4 Wesco 3A/2A), which had nine different players score in the game.

Kylie Richards scored a team-high 11 points, and Nyakueth Deng and Indira Carey-Boxley added nine each for Edmonds-Woodway (4-10, 2-7).

Lynnwood 51, Marysville Getchell 32

LYNNWOOD — Aniya Hooker scored 20 points to pace Lynnwood (9-3, 7-1 Wesco 3A/2A) to a league win over Marysville Getchell (5-7, 2-6).
