The state boys swim and dive championships are nearing as teams hit the pool for district tournaments this week.

Here’s a glance at district championships involving local teams:

4A District 1 championship finals

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Where: Snohomish Aquatic Center

Who: Wesco

Local teams: Glacier Peak, Jackson, Kamiak, Lake Stevens, Mariner

Defending champion: Lake Stevens

What’s at stake: Winner of each event qualifies for state, plus athletes who post 4A state qualifying times/scores.

3A District 1 championship finals

When: Saturday, 4 p.m.

Where: Snohomish Aquatic Center

Who: Wesco, Northwest Conference

Local teams: Cascade, Edmonds-Woodway, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville Getchell, Marysville Pilchuck, Meadowdale, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Shorecrest, Shorewood, Snohomish, Stanwood

Defending champion: Shorecrest

What’s at stake: Top four finishers in each event qualify for state, plus athletes who post 3A state qualifying times/scores.

2A/1A District 1 championship finals

When: Saturday, 2:30 p.m.

Where: Fidalgo Pool (Anacortes)

Who: Wesco, Northwest Conference, Emerald Sound Conference

Local team: Archbishop Murphy

Defending champion: Anacortes

What’s at stake: Top two finishers in each event qualify for state, plus athletes who post 2A/1A state qualifying times/scores.
