GOLD BAR — Travelers should expect some delays during road work on a U.S. 2 bridge near Gold Bar this week.

Crews contracted by the Washington State Department of Transportation are scheduled to work Tuesday through Saturday.

They are set to fix damaged pavement on the South Fork Skykomish River bridge as part of a project to repair pavement on 17 bridges in King, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom counties.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will alternate across the bridge from 8 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Friday.
