Auditor election: Gobel, not Fell, engages with the community

I attended the Juneteenth event Garth Fell keeps referring to in his campaign. It’s not something to be proud of, let alone be labeled as “community engagement.” The white tri-fold poster board with a few ballot envelopes glued to it was hardly an engaging educational tool.

Community leaders should be out in their community. That’s one major difference between Cindy Gobel and Garth Fell. Gobel attends events that include all people of Snohomish County and is genuinely interested in learning more about the folks that call the county home.

Under Gobel’s leadership, the auditor’s office would have a thriving presence in all corners of Snohomish County.

Nonpartisanship is about ensuring everyone gets a voice, not refusing to state where one stands on issues.

As a strong Democrat and previous 12-year employee of the Snohomish County Auditor’s office under Fell’s management, I’m enthusiastically voting for Gobel.
