Garth Fell has experience, responsibility for count auditor

Who runs our elections is important! We need an experienced, proven leader at the head of our county Auditor’s Office. We need to reelect Garth Fell as county auditor.

His opponents are going negative and speaking in half-truths. This does not earn my trust in them.

By contrast, as the recent Herald Editorial endorsement points out, Garth “ has expertly led the auditor’s office” over the last four years, improving access to ballot drop boxes, increasing communication and outreach, and ensuring accurate, secure, transparent elections.

Garth is the only candidate with experience managing elections, the only candidate with a career characterized by increasing responsibility, and the only candidate with a clear nonpartisan stance that puts community over politics.

I agree with the endorsements of the Herald Editorial Board, all our county council members, both former county auditors Carolyn Weikel and Bob Terwilliger and many other known and trusted community leaders across the political spectrum.

My support and vote for county auditor this Aug. 1 primary goes to Garth Fell.
