Change light rail route in Everett to save businesses

Much has been written about the new light rail station at Evergreen Way and Highway 526 and the impact on local businesses (“In light rail’s path, Casino Road businesses brace for impact,” The Herald, Aug. 5).

Wouldn’t the better choice be to build the new station at Eastmont on the east side of the freeway? There’s plenty of room for the station and parking. They could even consider running the track down Everett Mall Way with a stop at the mall and might boost business there.
