Sheriff’s race: Johnson showed compassion

I thought Snohomish County was a great place to raise my family for me, until my daughter, Jessica Seybold was murdered on Dec. 13, 2017.

My biggest concern is how I’ve been treated by the people who are supposed to be there for us in times like this.

I had the opportunity to meet Susanna Johnson last year and was able to explain the confusing issues that I was faced with. Susanna has been trying to help my family since I met her. She has been very busy, but takes the time to be human and explain things I may not understand. She has compassion for victims and their families.

I never got that from Adam Fortney. Fortney chose to ignore me regarding Jessica’s murder case. Fortney sold himself as a constitutional sheriff. It seemed to me that he picks who has constitutional rights in Snohomish County.

I don’t ever want to see any other family in our community be treated like their loved ones don’t matter.
