Snohomish School Board: Serviss showed skill as Aquatics Center manager

We are voting for Rob Serviss for Snohomish School Board position No. 2 because he has a great perspective on many of the challenges facing our district, cares deeply about serving all students, and takes a sensible approach to public education.

He has experienced the Snohomish School District as a student, a staff member (Aquatics Center manager), a coach, and as a parent of students in the district. This makes him able to see issues from many perspectives and understand how policies and decisions might affect teachers, students, and parents.

Serviss is good at finding achievable solutions to challenges, as demonstrated by his superb handling of the Aquatics Center during the pandemic. He had several plans in place and was ready to reopen quickly and safely when the time was right. As a result, the Aquatics Center was the first pool in the region to safely reopen after the pandemic, providing needed access to district families. He understands the needs of district families and works hard to meet those needs.

We got to know him when our sons played on a basketball team at Cascade View Elementary, and our boys now attend Snohomish High School. His family has chosen many paths of educating their kids; both homeschooling and enrolling them in district schools. The school board would be improved by Rob’s district experience, passion for Snohomish kids, and consideration for all families; including those who need varying education pathways.

Join us in voting for Rob!
