4A STATE TOURNAMENT

First round

SUMNER — The 15th-seeded Knights gave the second-seeded Spartans all they could handle, but Brooklyn Johnson’s late goal ended Kamiak’s 4A state tournament run in the first round.

Kamiak, which claimed a share of the Wesco 4A title during the regular season, finished its season 11-7-2.

Sumner (18-1-1) moves on to the quarterfinals to face the winner of 10th-seeded Wenatchee vs. seventh-seeded Woodinville.

4A BI-DISTRICT 1/2 TOURNAMENT

Semifinals (winner to state)

Lake Stevens 3, Skyline 0

LAKE STEVENS — Laura Eichert delivered 23 kills and 11 digs and the second-seeded Vikings clinched their seventh consecutive state tournament berth with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-15 sweep of the sixth-seeded Spartans in the 4A bi-district 1/2 tournament semifinals.

Alyss Kelly added 16 digs and three aces, Katelyn Eichert 32 assists, two kills and two aces and Jayci Scrivens 11 digs and eight kills for Lake Stevens (15-4). The Vikings will face fourth-seeded North Creek in the bi-district title game 2 p.m. Saturday at Jackson High School.

Skyline (16-5) will face fifth-seeded Glacier Peak in a winner-to-state consolation game 7 p.m. Thursday at Glacier Peak.

Consolation first round (loser out)

Jackson 3, Kamiak 0

SNOQUALMIE — The eighth-seeded Timberwolves kept their season alive with a sweep of the 10th-seeded Knights.

Jackson (11-8) advanced to face third-seeded Mount Si in a loser-out consolation game later in the evening.

Kamiak finished its season 7-11.

Consolation second round (loser out)

Glacier Peak 3, Issaquah 1

SNOHOMISH — The fifth-seeded Grizzlies kept their season going with a win over the seventh-seeded Eagles in a loser-out consolation game of the 4A bi-district 1/2 tournament.

Glacier Peak (13-5) will host sixth-seeded Skyline in a winner-to-state consolation game 7 p.m. Thursday.

Issaquah finished its season 9-13.

Mount Si 3, Jackson 1

SNOQUALMIE — The eighth-seeded Timberwolves fell to the third-seeded Wildcats in a loser-out consolation game of the 4A bi-district 1/2 tournament.

Jackson finished its season 11-9.

Mount Si (14-8) will visit top-seeded Eastlake in a winner-to-state consolation game 7 p.m. Thursday.

3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Quarterfinals

Meadowdale 3, Ferndale 0

LYNNWOOD — Violet Dubois posted 12 kills and 10 digs and the third-seeded Mavericks swept the sixth-seeded Golden Eagles 25-17, 25-12, 25-22 to advance to the 3A District 1 tournament semifinals.

Sofia Brockmeyer added 15 digs, Jackie Tang six kills and five digs and Laiken Thoesen 27 assists, three digs and two aces for Meadowdale (13-5) will face second-seeded Shorewood in a winner-to-state game 7 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

Ferndale (10-8) will face 10th-seeded Snohomish in a loser-out consolation game 5 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck.

Shorewood 3, Snohomish 2

SHORELINE — The second-seeded Stormrays outlasted the 10th-seeded Panthers in five sets to advance to the 3A District 1 tournament semifinals.

Shorewood (17-2) will face third-seeded Meadowdale in a winner-to-state game 7 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

Kelsey Nichols posted 18 digs and 11 kills, Keira Beverford nine kills, eight digs and two aces and Maggie Cavanuagh 21 assists and six digs for Snohomish (8-10). The Panthers will face sixth-seeded Ferndale in a loser-out consolation game 5 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck.

Lynnwood 3, Oak Harbor 1

BOTHELL — Paige Gessey recorded 15 kills, six digs, three blocks and two aces, and the top-seeded Royals beat the ninth-seeded Wildcats 25-9, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20 to advance to the 3A District 1 tournament semifinals.

Sammy Homler added 11 kills, 11 digs, and four aces, Hannah Johnson nine kills and four blocks and Charlie Thomas 38 assists, six digs and two kills for Lynnwood (18-0). The Royals will face fourth-seeded Shorecrest in a winner-to-state game 7 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

Karen Salinger had 14 kills and 11 digs and Jasmine Phillips 17 digs and three aces for Oak Harbor (10-8). The Wildcats will face fifth-seeded Monroe in a loser-out consolation game 5 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck.

Shorecrest 3, Monroe 1

SHORELINE — The fourth-seeded Scots prevailed against the fifth-seeded Bearcats to advance to the 3A District 1 tournament semifinals.

Shorecrest (15-4) will face top-seeded Lynnwood in a winner-to-state game 7 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

Monroe (14-5) will face ninth-seeded Oak Harbor in a loser-out consolation game 5 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck.
