BOYS BASKETBALL

Wesco 3A/2A

Mountlake Terrace 71, Archbishop Murphy 22

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Svayjeet Singh scored 19 points, Jaxon Dubiel recorded 18 and the Hawks cruised past the Wildcats in a Wesco 3A/2A contest.

Mountlake Terrace improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in league.

Archbishop Murphy fell to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in league.

Non-league

North Creek 61, Lake Stevens 43

BOTHELL — The Vikings were in it early but faded in the fourth quarter of a non-league loss to the Jaguars.

Javon McFerrin scored a team-high 13 points, Brody Peirpoint netted 10 and Mekhi Hunter and Luke Haack added eight apiece for Lake Stevens (2-3).

Christian Bonicillo scored a game-high 15 points for North Creek (3-1). The Jaguars outscored the Vikings 19-7 in the final period.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Wesco 3A/2A

Lynnnwood 68, Everett 59

BOTHELL — Aniya Hooker and Dina Yonas combined for 15 points in the fourth quarter and the Royals pulled away in the final period for a key Wesco 3A/2A victory over the Seagulls.

Jocelyn Tamayo scored a team-high 19 points, Hooker had 14, Kayla Lornez added 13 and Yonas netted all eight of her points in the fourth for Lynnwood (5-1 overall, 3-1 league), which outscored Everett 22-13 in the final frame after being tied through three quarters. Hooker scored her 1,000th career point.

Alana Washington poured in a game-high 30 points, including 18 in the second half, for Everett (3-3, 2-2). Mae Washington and Lanie Thompson each chipped in 10 points.

Stanwood 57, Edmonds-Woodway 40

EDMONDS —Jazmyn Legg poured in a game-high 28 points and the Spartans used a quick to start to top the Warriors in Wesco 3A/2A action.

Legg went 10 of 11 at the free-throw line. Ella Wortham scored 16 points and Stella Berrett added 10 for Stanwood (2-3 overall, 2-1 league), which opened the game on an 11-0 run.

Natalie Durbin registered 19 points and Finley Wichers had nine points and eight rebounds for Edmonds-Woodway (3-5, 1-2).

Snohomish 50, Shorewood 36

SHORELINE — Panthers coach Ken Roberts earned his 400th career victory as Snohomish pulled away in the fourth quarter against the Stormrays in the Wesco 3A/2A game.

Catherine Green scored 19 points, while Kendall Hammer and Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles each chipped in with 11 for Snohomish (2-3 overall).

Bridget Cox scored 14 and Kate Evans added eight for Shorewood (2-3, 1-3).
