Thanks to police for proection of day care’s kids, families, staff

On behalf of KinderCare, we wanted to take a moment to extend our sincere gratitude for the assistance of Sgt. Robert Edmonds and the Everett Police Department for their actions on Jan. 22 (“1 injured in shooting at Everett apartments; Casino Road closed off,” The Herald Jan. 22). They went above and beyond to ensure the safety of the families and staff in our care, and we applaud you for your hard work.

From Sgt. Edmonds helping parents and guardians with pickup, to the rest of the law enforcement officers providing security inside and outside of the building, we’re very appreciative of all that you did for our center.

Day in and day out you provide essential services to our neighborhoods that help us to stay safe. You are appreciated more than you know! Thank for for service, for doing a job that puts others first and for being heroes in the community.
