The state boys swim and dive championships are nearing as teams hit the pool for district tournaments this week.

4A District 1 championship finals
When: Saturday, 10 a.m.
Where: Snohomish Aquatic Center
Who: Wesco
Local teams: Glacier Peak, Jackson, Kamiak, Lake Stevens, Mariner
Defending champion: Lake Stevens
What’s at stake: Top two finishers of each event qualify for state, plus athletes who post 4A state qualifying times/scores.
3A District 1 championship finals
When: Saturday, 4 p.m.
Where: Snohomish Aquatic Center
Who: Wesco, Northwest Conference
Local teams: Cascade, Edmonds-Woodway, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville Getchell, Marysville Pilchuck, Meadowdale, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Shorecrest, Shorewood, Snohomish, Stanwood
Defending champion: Shorecrest
What’s at stake: Top four finishers of each event qualify for state, plus athletes who post 3A state qualifying times/scores.
2A/1A District 1 championship finals
When: Saturday, 11:15 a.m.
Where: Fidalgo Pool
Who: Wesco, Emerald Sound Conference, Northwest Conference.
Local teams: Archbishop Murphy
Defending champion: Anacortes
