BOYS BASKETBALL

4A District 1/2 Tournament

Quarterfinals

Jackson 53, Skyline 50

SAMMAMISH — Colby Cooke and Trey Hawkins provided 14 points apiece as Jackson sneaked past Skyline in a Class 4A District 1/2 quarterfinal game.

Ryan Mcferran chipped in 11 points as the Timberwolves (15-7) advanced to Tuesday’s semifinal against the winner of Friday’s quarterfinal between North Creek and Mount Si.

1B District 1 Tournament

Championship (both to tri-district)

Lummi 69, Tulalip Heritage 28

BELLINGHAM — The Hawks (14-7) fell to the Blackhawks (19-1) in the title game of the 1B District tournament. Both teams advanced to the District 1/2/3 tournament.

1A District 2 Tournament

Consolation (loser out)

Granite Falls 67, University Prep 49

GRANITE FALLS — Granite Falls took down University Prep in a Class 1A District 2 consolation loser-out tilt.

The Tigers (12-11) play Eastside Prep in another loser-out game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Granite Falls High School.

University Prep finished its season 5-14.

4A District 1/2 Tournament

Glacier Peak 61, Issaquah 60

ISSAQUAH — Glacier Peak edged out Issaquah in a Class 4A District 1/2 play-in game.

The Grizzlies (6-16) play Lake Stevens in a quarterfinal matchup on at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lake Stevens High School.

Kamiak 69, Mount Si 54

MUKILTEO — Kamiak bested Mount Si in a Class 4A District 1/2 play-in game.

The Knights (12-8) moved on to face Woodinville in the quarterfinals on at 7 p.m. Saturday at Woodinville High School.

3A District 1 Tournament

First round (loser out)

Stanwood 48, Oak Harbor 43

OAK HARBOR — Jazmyn Legg led Stanwood with 19 points and Ella Wortham pitched in 15 as the Spartans downed Oak Harbor in a Class 3A District 1 tournament loser-out game.

Stella Berrett added 11 points as Stanwood (10-11) moved on to face Meadowdale in a quarterfinals game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Meadowdale High School.

Monroe 62, Ferndale 47

FERNDALE — Monroe took down Ferndale in a Class 3A District 1 tournament loser-out tilt.

The Bearcats (11-10) face Snohomish in a quarterfinal matchup at 7 p.m. Saturday at Snohomish High School.

Everett 51, Edmonds-Woodway 31

EVERETT — Everett ran past Edmonds-Woodway in a Class 3A District 1 loser-out matchup.

The Seagulls (14-7) face Lynnwood in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lynnwood High School.

Shorecrest 38, Shorewood 30

SHORELINE — Cassandra Chesnut and Magnolia Ensign each had nine points as host Shorecrest knocked off Shorewood in a Class 3A District 1 loser-out game.

Kate Evans finished with a game-high 12 points for the Stormrays (11-10).

The Scots (15-6) face Arlington at 7 p.m. Saturday at Arlington High School in the quarterfinals.

2A District 1 Tournament

Quarterfinals

Archbishop Murphy 79, Lakewood 45

EVERETT — Archbishop Murphy blew out Lakewood in a Class 2A District 1 quarterfinal.

The Wildcats (17-4) moved on to face Burlington-Edison in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Vernon High School.

Lakewood (9-10) faces Anacortes in a loser-out game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Anacortes High School.

1B District 1 Tournament

Third-place game (both to tri-district)

Darrington 36, Orcas Island 23

DARRINGTON — Allie Cochran collected 21 rebounds scored 14 points as Darrington beat Orcas Island in the Class 1B District 1 third-place game. Both teams advanced to the District 1/2/3 tournament.

Claire Wright added 16 points and 11 boards for the Loggers (11-10), and Sophie Ross hauled in 15 boards.

Darrington opens tri-district against Muckleshoot Tribal at 6 p.m. Saturday at Darrington High School.

Fifth-place game (winner to tri-district, loser out)

Grace Academy 49, Concrete 38

CONCRETE — Grace Academy got past Concrete in a winner to tri-district, loser-out fifth-place game of the 1B District 1 tournament.

The Eagles (10-8) face Pope John Paul II in the first round of the District 1/2/3 tournament at 2 p.m. Saturday at Timberline High School.
