Shouldn’t have bought a paper you couldn’t sustain

I have read coverage regarding “food deserts” and “news deserts” but never thought I’d live in one.

Chasing dollars for shareholders is a wonderful thing. Gutting the businesses to maximize profits is shameful, and for The Herald its owners are intentionally impacting our democracy by limiting information to voters by decreasing staff and reporters.

Just shameful greed. Don’t buy something you can’t afford to sustain.

At a time when information is homogenized for profit, gutting local news-gathering and distribution is shameful. We lost the Post-Intelligencer, now the Everett Herald. Guess I’ll read USA Today.
