Problem with school shootings is security, not guns

Lack of political will is the root cause behind school vulnerabilities, as it’s a funding issue.

It’s harder to walk through an airport than enter public school grounds or buildings. Knowing who is entering the buildings and limiting what doors are accessible, as well as running all bags and containers through a scanner would reduce the violence and deter the motivations of a disturbed person, in addition to holding school leadership accountable when a weapon is used on school grounds.

All done without tampering with the Second Amendment. It’s not reinventing the wheel, it’s copying what works outside the box.
